Money$mart School Library

Great minds across the state are hard at work determining how best to solve our economic crisis and move forward with a solution. One of the largest challenges facing our current educational system is the lack of resources available to provide financial education in the schools. Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders and they need the skills and knowledge to make wise economic choices. It is important that we provide them with a strong financial education to ensure future economic success. In an effort to promote this crucial subject in our schools and ease the burden on Michigan educators, we have developed a program called Money Smart Library for Kids to provide financial literacy library collections to Michigan’s schools.

A basic library for a school starts at $250. A more extensive selection of financial resources is included in libraries for $500 or more. Donations in any amount are welcome and will be combined until they reach a basic library amount, which will be presented to a challenged district. Should you wish to make a directed donation and sponsor an entire library, Michigan Jumpstart will be happy to let you choose the school. Whether you choose to be a group sponsor or a direct sponsor, you will be acknowledged as a donor and your gift is fully tax deductible.

You can be an advocate for change—one book at a time.

For more information about book sponsorships, contact Lynn Ryan at lynn@innerharmonyinc.com.  To see information on existing libraries, please click here.
